When you are in your WordPress admin page, click on the right side where it says settings. Then you will need the Writing tab, you can find that toward the left side. Once on that page, scroll down toward the bottom of the page, you will see Update Services. Under that is a textarea box. You can copy-paste this into it. This will ping these sites that you have updated your blog.

Please note, that each of the above needs to be on its own line!
Of course you can manually submit your blog by using Web sites like:
Ping-O-Matic or even AutoPinger just to name a couple. These should ping your blog to several Blog Searches Engines.
This is just one of many ways to help increase traffic to your blog.
