Workin’ on importing
I m trying to get my past post from LiveJournal exported so I can import them into WordPress.
IÂ am currently trying a program called LJArchieve, but I keep getting errors and it will only export up to a certain date and then stop. So it isn’t working. I want to try to export it with all comments. I know I can use the export part from LJ, but it does it one month at a time and no comments. So bare with me as I try to get my past post imported into WordPress. I am working on my switch over from LJ to WP. If anyone can help me, that would be great. I would appreciate that very much. I have tried a few different things too and no luck yet.
If anyone is reading this post and doesn’t have a clue. I am also just wondering how many LJers have switched over to WP? Please let me a comment and let me know. Let me know if you prefer WP over LJ or the other way around. I been on LiveJournal since July 2004.
So I am also working on my design and layout of my blog. I want to host it on my Web site, but I need to upgrade my package to include the MySQL package. I would just need to pay $35 extra a year.

Well, yes, I did have a look. It may not be possible to import from live journal to word press. I would just keep both blogs, the older one of the older entries and then blog here. The thing is it’s hard to find a supply of readers. People might come by now and then, but you don’t get know them. Since there is no one page of all your friends. I think you are supposed to use a feed. I can’t figure out a feed. I just bookmark blogs I like to read in a folder, and I click on them from time to time if I am bored.
I plan to leave both up. Even if it can import the past ones.
I might try to get a cross poster and have them post into both at the same time.
But having two blogs, you may be more likely to be found and seen.
They have a new Tag Surfer (use tags and find related blogs that posted with that tag) and Blog Surfer (you can enter username of a blog)
I can see your reply. I have not gotten comments either since I started moderating them again. I think you have to take off moderation to make them work properly, and then delete the bad ones. No one seems to be updating live journal either. I don’t know, things are dead right now.
