I printed 3 sets of 30 business cards on my printer at home.
That is how I gained 3 (87 Dups) for Saturday, August 18, 2007.
I also placed me an order of business cards to be professionally printed.
I will soon have 1,000 of this design. It cost me $24 to have them printed.
Then it cost me nearly $9 for shipping via UPS.
Oh yea, I have a $2.50 credit with this company as well, that means the business cards costed me $21.50.
Did I mentiont his was full color on the front.
I could have had full color on the back as well, but couldn’t think of something to put on the back.

I also wonder how many business cards I would have gained this weekend from going to the Business Card Collectors Convention.
Oh well. There is always next year.

Speaking on conventions/gatherings. I need to start planning the 2nd Annual Where’s George Gathering in Knoxville, TN.
I hope to do one once a year.

I am unsure of what to do, where to do it, etc.
Last year, I hosted the 1st Annual Where’s George Gathering in Knoxville, TN.
We did a sight seeing tour on the Star of Knoxville Riverboat and then ate dinner at Calhoun’s on the River.

I just need to start planning what to do and where and when for this years gathering.

Any one have any ideas?
If any of you haven’t been to Knoxville what is something you would like to go to or go see?

Just because I was talking about Where’s George I will end my post like I always do with all my Where’s George post, this is in hopes that my whining will help lead to hits…

Today is the the International Business Card Collectors (IBCC) Convention today.
They have one once a year, sometime in August. It is usually the first weekend in August.
But this year it was different.

The convention is in Clarksville, IN very close to Louisville, KY.
It is running from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Clarksville, IN.

I wished I could have attended this year, but we couldn’t afford to go.
It would have been fun to meet other collectors face to face and see some of the
business cards in their collection.

Maybe I can go next year.

I was told that there is even a blurb about this convention as well.
This blurb was by The Courier-Journal in Louisville, KY. It is a calendar of event type blurb. It is own down under Saturday.

I even made a phone call to one of the collectors at the convention to tell everyone I said hello. He said a total of 15 collectors made it to it and they are sorting through boxes and boxes of business cards.

Sounds like it was fun. I sure wished I could have made it, but such is life.
