Today we broke a record high.
We hit 101°.
In 1995 it was 100°.
I also do believe today was the hottest day of the year too.
The above tempatures are based at the Knoxville airport in Alcoa, TN.
Which is in Blount County, the county south of us (Knox County).

We have been really close to being at 100°’s these last few days.
This heat doesn’t really help the drought that Knoxville is in either.

Driving around town today, I did see those digital marquees I saw one that said 103° and another one that read 105°.
These are based on where those marquees are at, but the sun shining on them can affect what they say the temp is.

30 years ago today, Elvis passes away.
I was only just slightly one year old when he passed away.

One thing I hate to see is the graffiti at Graceland.
I have been to Graceland, outside the gates that is.
So I have never been inside Graceland.

You know even Jerry Lee Lewis’s ranch has graffitti on it too.
Jerry Lee Lewis was pretty much always head to head in competing with Elvis.
I bet it hit him hard when they named Evil as the King or Rock ‘N Roll.
I have family that lives in Mississippi. Just south of Memphis, TN by a little bit. We went to visit them and they showed us Graceland’s outside. We took a few pictures. Plus, they drove us by Jerry Lee Lewis’s ranch. They even said that no one likes having him living near them. He has a The Killers Kar Kollection. We went January 18-19, 2003.
Jerry Lee Lewis’s ranch is in Northern Mississippi fairly close to Hernando.
