Another Vol Victory!

September 09th, 2006 | Category: Uncategorized

OPEN THOUGHTS
Tennessee had about a 20 point lead over Air Force.
FIRST HALF
The Tennessee Vols lead 17 to Air Force Falcons 10.
Foster was injured in the first half.
SECOND HALF
TN just got a 99 yard drive, now leads 24 to 10. It took 5 min. 39 secs., 11 plays to get that touchdown by Tennessee. During the 3 quarter, Air Force only had possesion of the ball one time, that lead to the touchdown they had. The Vols still lead 24 to 17. The Vols scores again, TOUCHDOWN TENNESSEE! The extra point is good too! The Vols now lead 31 to 17. The Vols were very close to a touchdown and the Falcons intercepted the ball, causing them to finish the drive with a touchdown. The Vols still lead 31 to 24. The Vols have 2 min., 41 sec. to get another touchdown. The ball was kicked to the Vols from the Falcons, it bounced off one of the Vol player and the Falcons recovered it. 2 min, 24 sec. to go! If they tie it, we will go in to OT (Over Time). Tennessee needs to step up the defense right now to stop the Falcons drive, so they cannot tie this ball game. 1 min. 53 sec. left in the game and the Vols has a big injury. Back to action, Air Force caught the ball at the 1 yard line. A penalty against Air Force too. They would have had it 1st and Goal. Officals said there is no penalty on the play. So they will tie this game, unless they try for a 2 point conversion. Air Force got the touchdown! Air Force is going for the 2 point conversion for the win. Hold them back Tennessee. Tennessee stopped them! Way to go Vols! Mitchell stopped them! So Air Force didn’t get to try to win this game. The Vols lead 31 to 30. 1 min. 35 sec. left in the game. Air Force took their own ball again from the kick off. Offsides on Air Force, they will rekick this ball. 1 min. 30 sec. left of the game. This time Tennessee gets it. Ainge is going to try to run down the clock, so they can maintain the lead.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
This was a touch game we played. I know Tennessee had that 20 point lead differance in the ball game, but Air Force is still a tough game and tonight proved it. It was a very, and I mean very, close game tonight. Air Force almost won it. Is that proof enough?
NEXT WEEK
Next week we play the Flordia Gators. I will be wearing my t-shirt from WIVK that says I am a Gator Hater. The Gators is one of the Vols biggest rivals. I know that will be going for the Gators. So we shall see who will win next week. Next weeks game will prove to be a very intresting game. The game will be on CBS at 8 p.m. The Gators will have to play at Neyland Stadium. I just hope it doesn’t rain, you know what happens when it rains when we play the Gators!

Tennessee wins! 31 to 30!

Sorry I couldn’t keep up with this like I did last week. I again had to listen to this on the radio, WIVK, tonight. One, we don’t have cable and two, it is on Pay Preview.

Business cards, the fair & more…

September 09th, 2006 | Category: Uncategorized

BUSINESS CARDS
I gained 136 business cards today!
I got them from…

  • 2 — My wife ()
  • 43 — Myself @the Fair (17 Dups)
  • 24 — Posen, MI
  • 67 — Knoxville, TN — saw my ad in The Knoxville Journal — No return address

My new overall total is…

96,894

FAIR
I worked my works booth today at the Tennessee Valley Fair. Right in front of our booth is the Kitchen Craft, the waterless cooking! It is fun to watch them do the presentation. They were in the same spot, last year in front of us. Anyways, they cooked some chicken and a bunch of other veggies. Boy is the chicken, potatoes and the sweet pototoes were yummy! I even picked me up some business cards there in the Jacob’s building. One booth even has a sample of beef jerky! They make some yummy beef jerky. If you go, ask for the cajun, it’s the best one they have. I ate at Earl’s at the fair. Hot dog, bag of chips and a 20 oz. Pepsi was $5 total! Can you believe that at the fair, other booths had hot dogs for $6, for just the hot dog. So I gave them a marked $1 bill tip. I got some some popcorn from the vendor inside the Jacobs building. I paid $2 for it, I used marked $2 bills for it. Anyways, Don’t buy the popcorn there! It was over cooked and mostly kernals in my box. Mind you, you get a good sized box, but to have nothing but kernals isn’t right. I hope that I get some hits off of those. I have go go tommorrow, 4 to 8 p.m. to work my works booth. So I hope to see you there!

We ordered us a pizza tonight for dinner from Papa John’s. It should be here soon! Giving a marked bill as a tip with one of my infocards. I hope it will get a hit for me. We shall soon see!
