Work Computer!
Remember how I told you, my hard drive was toast at work almost over a month ago. Well, this new hard drive I have, has not been the greatest. I keep getting kernal panics on it. I have a G4 running OS X 10.3.9. I have a 933 Mhz and about 1.5 Gigs of RAM. But, what is wierd, with the old hard drive, I could run tons of programs no problems. But, now it seems after I have a few programs open, then it will freeze my computer. I will get the black kernal panic screen telling me to press and hold the power button to restart my computer. It has become annoying. Also, I know Adobe Acrobat will do it, when it is the only program open. Esp. if the PDF file is huge. Right now I am having to use Preview to look at PDFs. I did a Disk Utlity today to fix permissions, so I hope that fixes the problem. If not, I will have to take it back to the Mac store and let them know the problems I have been having with it. I think it is a hardware issue, that or one of my memory sticks could be going bad, because a lot of these kernal panics come from bad RAM. Any ideas from my Mac gurus out there?
