Cyberhome Products — Do not Buy!
What ever you all do, never, and I repeat, never buy a CyberHome product. They are crap! I bought the Cyberhome 1200MU DVD Recorder, so I can record some VHS tapes to DVD and you can also record TV to DVD. Well, it worked for one disk. They disk can read in my other DVD player, but not my computer. I have read and read about this prodcut and the 1600MU, the updated version. They all do the same crap. I even updated the Firmware for it, like the manufacture suggested. Well, I was only able to record 2 DVDs and then it would no longer format my disk. Yes, this is the only DVD recorder that makes you format a disk before you can record to it. It would get to 98%, like others state happens them too. I am taking it back to Wal-mart. So the $70 find was not a great deal after all. I will just save up and buy a bigger brandnamed item. Plus, do my research on it first too. I wished it could open on my computer the disk I burned from my Cyberhome recorder. It will just freeze my computer at home (PC running Win98SE) and at work, the disk won’t mount to the desktop. At work I am running a Mac with OS X 10.3.9. But, I wanted to let you all know, not to buy from Cyberhome! They are not good! If you bought one, take it back! They are crap, they will work just fine for the first few times, then crap out on you. I read the same post over and over on Afterdawn, Nerd-Out, & Videohelp. A lot of folks there too, agree, do not buy from Cyberhome. Then, again you get the select few that don’t have problems. They must be lucky, but overall, they are horrible. If you have had experience with Cyberhome, please share.
DO NOT BUY CYBERHOME PRODUCTS!
