Dry Spell…

April 01st, 2006 | Category: Uncategorized

I think I am on my dry spell streak again for hits. I hope I will get some hits soon. As I always soon whinning does wonders. My fingers stay crossed for hits. *fingers crossed* I did spend a good bit at the mall, esp. in the food court. So did my mom and wife. My mom and daughter went into Dollar World in the mall and spent some Georges too. So maybe those will get some hits too.

I saved about 14 of my traded bills from the gathering to take with me up to Michigan to spend. Plus, each week I am going to set aside a few bills to save for the trip to Michigan.

I cannot wait until I can get atleast one or two hits a day. That would be totally awesome. Or even more! *smiles* Yea, I am day dreaming, I know. But, one day, perhaps.

I wished I could go to the Las Vegas gathering. The people at Stamp-Connection (the #1 place to buy Where’s George) stampers are going and if you sign their autograph book, they will give you a coupon for a free stamper.

Anyone want to donate some money via pay pal so I can buy me my special ID stamper? I will use my doctor guy from my Cardeologist w/out the box that says “SEND ME BUSINESS CARDS”.

This way if I get a bill back, then I know it was one I entered or other Georgers will know exactly whos bill it is. A lot of other Georgers use ID stampers. I know BamaDaisy5 uses a daisy. Alix uses a cat. JBinthe615 uses frog legs. Both are people I met at the Lost Sea Gathering, March 25, 2006. Right now I am printing the ID onto the bills I enter at home. Theses are my (PG) bills.

I plan to order me 2 of them. Self-inking. One to take to work and one to have at home, since I EMS both at home and work. I have my (RS) at work. My other stampers are at home. You can check out http://wheresgeorge.cardeologist.com and click on about me for the different kinds of stampers i currently use. This way you will know what the (##) codes mean when you see that in my description of the bill.

If you are a George, I highly recommened going over the forums. You can learn a lot and get a lot of good help and advice. http://forums.wheresgeorge.com

I am thinking of having a monthly meeting for us local Georgers. I plan to call it ETGA for East Tennessee Georgaholics Annoymous. Just like the CANAGA (Central and Northern Alabama Georgaholics Annoymous. I think it would be fun. You can trade bills often and get with each other and talk about the hobby and spend some Georges. Any local Georgers to me that would love to be a part of the ETGA, let me know.

Well, I hope me talking this much about the hobby will land me a good bit of hits. *fingers crossed* Wish me luck folks! Remember if you see a marked bill, go and enter it. You don’t have to sign up to enter it, but if you want to be kept updated if it gets hit somewhere else then you can do it and best of all you can sign up for FREE. You never know that bill you have could be one of mine and just because it is not marked, doesn’t mean it hasn’t been entered. These are called STEALTH bills. Not marked, but entered into the system.

Remember though if you do sign up, it may take awhile to get a hit. You are more likely to get a hit by marking the bill then not marking the bill. But it can take awhile. Enter them and they will get hit.

Yes, it is legal to mark on your bills, as long as, you don’t mark the bill to be unfit for recirculation. So over marking to me is making the bill unfit for circulation. But tastefully marking it for Where’s George isn’t. Even banks mark the bills w/their own stampers that tells you their name and address.

It is fun to know where your money has been and where it will go next. Try it out for yourself today! http://www.wheresgeorge.com Remember its totally FREE.
