I had 684 unique visitors this last week. That is from 4/22/06 (when my story airred on NPR until the end of Friday 4/28/2006. I also had 14 returning visitors during this week. I had 1,346 page loads during that time frame too. I would say about 10% of those who have visited so far has sent me business cards. That isn’t too bad either. Maybe more will come soon. *smiles* I believe this is one of the best I have ever had in a long time.

I made my new web page design active. I did take note of the changes you suggested. It is greatly appreciated. I am glad you all like my new design. I love it too. It also makes it look different then my Where’s George hobby site I did. I do have your suggestions jotted down and plan to make these changes…

I got tons of oriental (overseas business cards) like India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, New Dalie, etc. I also got a 70 year old business card. It has the old 4 digit phone number and no zip code on the card. Plus, I got a couple that looks like money. It is for sales people at a dealership. They are slightly bigger then money, so this is an odd sized business card. Thanks everyone for the lovely business cards!

Side note, I have approx. 60+ thank you letters and about 20 trades to go out in the mail. They will be mailed in small batches. Here and there with extra money. So be patient you will get it. Also, if you enclosed an e-mail address I plan to e-mail you a thank you.

I am glad my NPR story did well. I can only image how well I would do if I went on national TV.

Oh yea, I am over a month behind on thank yous and my trades. Sorry folks. I will get to those soon and mail them off when I get time and money. I know that it will be expensive mailing off my thank yous that I have. But, I see it this way, they take time to send me a card, I should take time to send them a thank you. To save on money on most of them, I plan to make me a postcard to say thanks and update them on my total, etc. So if you recently sent me business cards, please be patient, I will send you a thank you.

Yesterday, Wed., April 26, 2006, I got 103 unique business cards & 12 duplicates from a good number of people. All of these people heard me on NPR. This time I am getting letters from the people. One letter stated to me, “Did you know that now that you were on NPR you will be getting thousands of people sending you business cards.” Another one wanted to be documented some how that they are the oldest family owned dealership in the country. That dealership is Bill Mason Chrysler-Jeep.

On Saturday (the day my story aired) I had…
483 page loads (263 unique visitors & 2 returning visitors)

On Sunday I had…
259 page loads (149 unique visitors & 1 returning visitor)

On Monday I had…
216 page loads (109 unique visitors & 2 returning visitors)

On Tuesday I had…
77 page loads (41 unique visitors & 1 returning visitor)

I only predict for now my visitors will only die off for now. But this is cool.

BTW, page loads means every page on my site that got loaded, ex: index.htm; mecollection.htm; dictionary.htm; faq.htm etc. It counts the total # of my page pages that got loaded.

Also with returning visitors those are only tracked with those who allow cookies, etc. So the I am sure the #s would be different it more ppl allowed cookies.

Get this though. Friday they day before my story aired, I had…
44 page loads (10 unique visitors & 0 returning visitors)
So you can see the big spike in visitors don’t you?

From 10 to 263, big difference in visitors.

Now I Just need to be on National TV like Leno or Letterman. I would then after that prob. need a mail sorting room to handle all the mail. Wishful thinking don’t you think?

So not many of you must have listened to my story. I know of a few of you, but not sure if anyone else on LJ heard it.

Oh yea, I might make my business card group public again or some of them. I have had people say I am not sure if you got my cards now, since you made your journal friends only. I am in debate on it.
