One Year Ago!
I meant to post this yesterday but I got too busy. One year ago yesterday I was on WBIR. That is Knoxville’s local NBC t.v. station. I was on the news broadcast called “Alive at Five.” They also replayed the broadcast the next morning on the morning news I was told by a few people. If you want you can Watch the video here. Sorry about the quality of the video, it was reduced down to go on the web. I do have the orginal one as well. But, that one is over 40 MB. So the web will take alot less to view and won’t eat up on bandwith.

Business Card Update!
This is a business card update. I haven’t been able to post about my progress in the last couple of days. So here is one for them. Within the last few days I gained 113 business cards. My new overall total is 75,169. I did get 45 duplicates total too. I got business cards from
- Trader in Castle Rock, CO
- Someone in TX from Postcard X
- Someone in Northville, MI
- A&K BBQ in Knoxville
- a normal contributor here in Knoxville, TN
- and a few other places
BTW, I am wearing an old t-shirt that says I collect business cards.

Kids and Online Journals
Oh wow the news just issued a warning to parents to avoid letting your children get onto online journals, such as www.face.com they said. They said there are preitures on it waiting for the right person to victimize. So to watch closely at your kids and what they do. They also said just because you have the parerental locks, etc. There are loop holes and web sites that explain to the teens how to bypass those. Just wanted to pass this onto you all too. I heard this on the radio, WIVK news report.

The Vols…
The Vols lost the game today. They played the Georgia Bulldogs. This was the Vols 3rd game in 13 days. I know they are exhausted. Next week, is our off game. So the Vols can get some needed rest. Georgia before going into this game ranked #5. The Vols ranked #8. It was a great game though. The finial score was Georgia 27 to Tennessee 14. I do wished they let Ainge play as QB some. Clausin kept throwing aways the ball and cannot throw it far. Yes, he earned starting position from the LSU game when he came back in the 2nd half and won the game. But, I think he is worn out. They need to put Ainge in a few times too. Anywho. Go Vols!

NESA
I got a renewal notice for my NESA Membership. NESA stands for National Eagle Scout Association. It cost $25 for 5 years. Lifetime membership is a one time payment of $180, but they have a special for $160. I wished I had enough to go for the lifetime membership. The membership money helps go toward the Scouting. It helps the 3 high adveture bases. Helps funding to get Eagle Scout packets for those who will be attaining the rank of Eagle soon. The membership is for those of us who are an Eagle Scout. An Eagle Scout for those who don’t know is the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America.

This bill stayed in Knoxville, but it went 11 miles within Knoxville in 77 days. Check out what the person says about the bill. I wonder how long it will be before my next hit? I hope I get many, many more soon! I want more too. My fingers are still crossed for more hits! *fingers crossed* Oh yea this is my 50th hit!

Two Days of Business Cards
I got some business cards in the last two days. I gained 137 in two days. I got business cards from a trader in Gahanna, OH and a trader in Farmington, AR. I also got some business cards from someone in Hot Springs, VA. Thanks very much. My new overall total is 75,056. I reached my secondary goal of 75,000 by Christmas. (short-term goal). When the new year starts and I get my total incoming stats, I will then send my primary goals for 2006.

Business Cards: I got some! A Convention! Wish!
Okay I got some business cards today. I got a good bit I might add. I got 255 today in the mail. I also got around 50 duplicates. Go me! I got them from , , & a person that lives in Alpena, MI (where my wife is from). My new overal total is 74,919. I am almost to my Christmas goal of 75K. I should get that in a couple of days.
You know this weekend is a business card convention. The IBCC (International Business Card Collectors) is doing it. The last couple of years they have been in Indianaopolis, IN during the first weekend of August, which is also my birthday and the Brickyard racing. I have never been to one of these. But, a while back I had a mini-meet here in Knoxville. Only a few people showed up. I wished I could go to this one. This one is in Orlando, FL. I did donate cards for the convention to be used as door prizes and give-aways. I couldn’t afford to go to this. Rooms was around $60-$70. Plus, I had to pay a $25 attendance fee to help pay for the bankquet room. Then, the cost of gas. Yes, it might be down atm, but you never know.
Want to know what a wish I have always had. Ever since my story went on newspaper and even on TV. I wished that one day I would go and pick up my mail and I have a pick-up notice. When I went to pick it up, I had a huge mail bag full of mail. Like those you see on TV for fan mail. Anywho, just wishful thinking. Maybe one day.
