Business Cards: I got some! A Convention! Wish!
Okay I got some business cards today. I got a good bit I might add. I got 255 today in the mail. I also got around 50 duplicates. Go me! I got them from , , & a person that lives in Alpena, MI (where my wife is from). My new overal total is 74,919. I am almost to my Christmas goal of 75K. I should get that in a couple of days.
You know this weekend is a business card convention. The IBCC (International Business Card Collectors) is doing it. The last couple of years they have been in Indianaopolis, IN during the first weekend of August, which is also my birthday and the Brickyard racing. I have never been to one of these. But, a while back I had a mini-meet here in Knoxville. Only a few people showed up. I wished I could go to this one. This one is in Orlando, FL. I did donate cards for the convention to be used as door prizes and give-aways. I couldn’t afford to go to this. Rooms was around $60-$70. Plus, I had to pay a $25 attendance fee to help pay for the bankquet room. Then, the cost of gas. Yes, it might be down atm, but you never know.
Want to know what a wish I have always had. Ever since my story went on newspaper and even on TV. I wished that one day I would go and pick up my mail and I have a pick-up notice. When I went to pick it up, I had a huge mail bag full of mail. Like those you see on TV for fan mail. Anywho, just wishful thinking. Maybe one day.
