WIVK helping…
WIVK has been gathering up water for people down South. They have 3 rigs full. They have raised tons of money, even Dollywood/Splash Country/Dixie Standpeed raised $25,000. They hope to fill up another 2-3 trucks of water. They have also had people fill up trucks full of supplies like generators, etc. Vandy Camp filled up one rig full of food to go down too. The Volunteer State has come through again. If you need volunteers you can count on us Tennessee folks. That is why they call us the Volunteer State after all!

Where’s George Hit!
http://www.wheresgeorge.com/report.php?key=b933e9d9c22a45b90054bab560936f7ee6710f447a969f3f
This was one of the first few bills I entered. So it was one that wasn’t marked, since I didn’t mark them at that time. This person got this bill in Gatlinburg. It took 118 days to travel 30 miles. The person that entered it didn’t mark the bill either. He is leaving it as a Stealth (unmarked bill). Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed. Keep the crossed for some more hits. Mine are still crossed *fingers crossed*

Got done at work early!
Wow! We got done at work early for a deadline Wed. Normally I would go into work at 8 a.m. Wed. and leave by about 6 or later the next morning. Yes about 24 hours or so. What a long shift. Yesterday I went in at 8 a.m. and got out at 8 p.m. Shocked eh? So was the maintance guy that picks up the papers at the printers, as well as, the circulation manager. What we did different was the managing editor did stuff first that she use to do last (so the opposite of how we use to do it). Plus, some of the info, she said, no longer had to be seen by her, but needed to make sure the reporters did the corrections from the copy editor, before dropping to me. This is a new record since I was there. I been there about 2 years now and the avg. time getting done is about 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. the next morning. But there was one day, when the managing editor went on vacation. Me and the old copy editor got done at 10 p.m. the same day. So I was happy to get to go home at a descent time and get descent sleep for a change. I hope next week we can do the same thing. This week we had to make sure that we were done so the Vol Guide (special publication) can be inserted into the paper at the printers, if we were late, then the circualation manager would have had to manual insert all of them. But we were on time, I bet we shocked the hell out of the carriers too. I think she all should get a bonus for getting the paper out on time.
