I went to pick up the business cards today from a local printer. Thanks! I got to rummage through several small boxes of sample prints. I found some of my company, from people that worked there before I was there. They gave me 2 huge web proof sheets. These web proof sheets are what they look like when they first print and before the cut the business cards up. I came home with about 209 from the printer. They told me I can come back in 3 to 4 months and pick up some more. They will also try to save some business cards aside for me as well. They even put up my business card up with the rest they keep handy for work purposes. Plus, today was a good day in the mail. I got about 16 letters with business cards and from the mail I got 274 business cards. Total today, I got 483 business cards. I now have over 58,100 business cards total. Let’s keep the cards coming to me.

One of my local printers told me that I can pick up some business cards for my collection. I think this is cool. Also one where my mother-in-law lives in Michigan, said the same thing. So she is going to pick those ones up and I will pick up the ones close to me. This is so neat. Thanks to these fine printing companies. If you are a printing company and you are in the Knoxville area, I can come and pick up any misprints or overruns you may have. If you are in the Alpena, MI area, I can arrange to have my mother-in-law to come and pick those up. Thanks very much!

I got some exciting news. I got an e-mail from a person stating they liked my web site and is going to send me some business cards.

Your web-site caught my attention as I was searching for people that collect business cards. I must say, I was pretty shocked when I found all the web-sites and people that share this interest. Out of all the collectors I read about, you sounded like the right person for me to contact.

I was probably 8-10 years old when I started collecting business cards. I don’t know why I started, but I was really into it. I would lay them all out side-by-side on the living room carpet so I could see just how many I had. I was excited to see how much space they would take up. I even took a picture of them at some point. Around age 14 I lost all interest in adding to my collection, but I have held onto it for the last 10 years. I must be crazy because I really don’t want them anymore, I just can’t bring myself to throw them away. That just wouldn’t be right.

I haven’t counted them, but I estimate there to be over 600 cards. If you want them, I would love to send them to you. You sound really passionate about your collection and it would mean a lot to me to give mine to someone like you.
I hope I don’t sound like a nut. Let me know?

Isn’t this cool. I am so excited, so if anyone else of you no longer want your collection, I am more then happy to have it. Remember all business cards have a home in my collection.

I went to the Flea Market at the New Expo Center. Where they always have it. I got a good bit of business cards. I even wore my “cardeologist” t-shirt. I got stopped by one guy asking me questions about it. He is an author! He writes animal books. He asked me where I would place his business cards and I told him. He thought it was intresting. I handed him one of mine. He also had another person next to him asking asking questions and appologied to the person saying I just gave my last business card to him. How cool was that?
I got about 50 from the Flea Market.

I had a good day in the mail today! I got over 403 business cards from about 10 or so different people. My total now is over 56,600 business cards. Thanks a bunch. Keep them coming. I also found out that I was in another newspaper in Calgary, Albert, Canada. I was in “Calgary Herald” this time. It was a tiny write up as well. Thanks for the write up “Calgary Herald.” I don’t know when it was put in, I do know it was done, I was giving a copy of the write up.

I got my Easter 2005 goal of 56,000 on March 9, 2005. that is about 17days early for Easter. Thanks for your help. My next goal is 58,500 business cards by my 29th birthday. My 29th birthday is August 6, 2005. So keep the cards coming and I will make this short term goal. As always my long-term goal is 1 million. I am at about 5.5% of my long-term goal. So keep them coming.

I might be on B 97.5 with TK and Kristen and the morning crew. Jennifer the Midday DJ sent on my info and said they should call me in a couple of weeks to have me on. So that will be great. I mailed out about $80 worth of mail. Yes, you read that right, $80. I sent out my thank you letters for sending me business cards, my trades and such. So I owed you a thank you and/or a trade then it should be on its way to you.

I am over 55,600 now! I got more cards from people in Alpena that saw me in the Alpena News. Thanks!

Also today, I got 18 letters in the mail with business cards. I totaled 129 business cards today! I got a lot from Knoxville, TN and people seeing me in the article from The Knoxville News Sentinel. I also got a few from Alpena area from people seeing me in The Alpena News.

I am in the North Section, so if you get a hard copy you need to make sure you get the North Edition. Otherwise you will get a different one, like the South or that.

Because I think they put out a North, East, West and South Edition and each one is geared to that part of town you live in. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks. Steve
